The City of Durango invites applications for a Police Officer Trainee. Trainees will attend the Southwest Regional Law Enforcement Academy at Pueblo Community College and work toward Colorado POS T certification, with the goal of promotion to Police Officer.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to meet POS T cert requirements and pass background checks.
• Legal to possess a firearm and valid Colorado driver’s license.

• Attend all days of basic law enforcement academy training.

• Learn department policies and procedures and apply criminal law knowledge.
• Develop radio procedures, first aid and CPR certifications, and Spillman proficiency.
