POLICE OFFICER - $65,000 - $92,000 ANNUAL SALARY - Based on Qualifications

Nature of Work:

Provides law enforcement and public safety services, including enforcement of criminal statutes and ordinances, arrests, traffic enforcement, crime prevention, patrol, accident investigation, disturbance resolution, prosecution support, and other public safety duties. Officers are expected to perform duties independently with good judgment, in accordance with Department rules and the IACP Code of Ethics. Responsibilities may include roles such as:

  • D.A.R.E. Officer
  • Crime Prevention Officer
  • Field Training Officer
  • Special Investigations Officer
  • Special Operations Officer
  • Traffic Unit Officer
  • Other assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. College, military, or relevant work experience is desirable but not mandatory. Must be at least 21 years old, a U.S. citizen, and have no felony convictions. Felony or misdemeanor convictions involving drug/alcohol violations, assault, or moral turpitude may be reviewed. Valid driver’s license required.
