The department offers an onsite gun range for use anytime, with multiple career growth opportunities such as SRO, Rotating Investigator, Rotating Traffic Safety Officer, Field Training Officer, Mobile Field Force, Bike Patrol, and instructor roles in Taser, Pepper Ball, Use of Force and Firearms.

• Must possess or be eligible for Minnesota Peace Officer License
• Ability to work in a team and handle public safety duties

Job description

The City of Spring Lake Park is accepting applications for a full-time police officer. Applicants must meet minimum selection standards set by the Minnesota POST Board and must possess or be eligible for a full-time Minnesota Peace Officer License. The Police Department offers an onsite gun range for use anytime! Career growth opportunities, such School Resource Officer - Rotating Investigator position - Rotating Traffic Safety Officer position - Field Training Officer -Mobile Field Force - Bike Patrol. Instructor positions such as Taser, Pepper Ball, Us e of Force and Firearms are also offered. The Department also provides a Wellness Program including a Mental Health Professional services and On-site fitness facility
