Geisinger is seeking a Security Officer to maintain safety and security across assigned areas. You will patrol facilities, deter criminal activity, respond to emergencies, and support patients, visitors, and staff.
This role requires at least 2 years of law enforcement experience, Act 120 and Act 235 certifications, BLS within 6 months, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate security technologies such as CCTV and access control.
Responsible for maintaining safety and security for an assigned area. Maintains safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees; conducts routine patrols of assigned areas to keep property and persons free from risk; responds to emergencies, fire alarms, hazardous material incidents; deals with conflict, confrontation, and stressful situations on a routine basis. Establishes a uniformed police presence by patrolling Geisinger property to deter criminal activity, investigate incidents, document activities, and take appropriate police action within the scope of Geisinger policy. Must be physically able to provide the essential services of the position.
Minimum hiring rate of $16.24 per hour, with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $2 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Rotation schedule; weekends and holidays are required; includes evening, night, and weekend shifts.
