The Position

We are a full service agency, offering a variety of specialized assignments – from narcotics, to helicopter pilot, to K9 handler – with nearly 60% of our sworn personnel working in specialized units. Essential Functions

• Provide exceptional customer service and uphold high ethical standards.
• Respond to calls for service, provide information, and assist the public.
• Administer first aid, interview witnesses, suspects, and victims, and prepare reports.
• Apprehend suspects through various means, enforce traffic laws, investigate accidents, and serve warrants.
• Handle juvenile matters, testify in court, and manage evidence.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently, and other related tasks.

Minimum Requirements

• Currently employed and in good standing with a California Law Enforcement Agency as a police officer.

Education/Training

• High school diploma or equivalent, and graduation from a California POST Law Enforcement Academy.

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid Class C California driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Exceptional customer service practices.
• Ability to make independent judgments, deal calmly with people, and write clear reports.
• Willingness to work overtime, maintain safety, and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Selection Process
