Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend a Police Academy.
• Patrol the Town by car, motorcycle, bicycle or on foot to deter crime and enforce laws.
• Respond to calls involving fires, accidents, disturbances, assaults, robberies, and felonies.
• Interview individuals and direct them to proper authorities.
• Secure scenes, administer first aid, gather evidence, take statements, make arrests, and file reports.
• Perform patrol activities with various enforcement tools and vehicles, including searches and seizures.
• Conduct investigations: protect scenes, interview, document findings, diagram scenes, present testimony in court.
• Provide public assistance: first aid, assist distressed motorists, direct traffic, assist and refer individuals in need.
