Must follow directions, communicate effectively, work well with others and the public, provide credible court testimony, and submit to background and medical evaluations.
Application Process: Fully describe education and experience. Veterans get preference points (10 for disabled, 5 for non-disabled) with DD214 submission. The selection includes a physical agility test, written exam, and oral interview. Passing all phases is required for hire.
Applicants with a T-Score of 42+ from another agency’s POST exam within last 12 months may waive the written test but must pass the physical agility.
Final employment contingent on background check, polygraph, psychological, and medical exams.
