Qualifications

• Must complete MCOLES Police Certification or be eligible.
• Possess valid Michigan Driver's License and be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to quickly and objectively analyze situations and communicate observations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Patrols a designated area of the city in a patrol car; preserve law and order and enforce laws.
• Responds to calls involving traffic incidents, crimes, disturbances, and civil matters; takes action and testifies when required.
• Conducts preliminary investigations, gathers evidence, questions suspects and witnesses, and makes arrests as needed.
• Prepares case reports and documents.
• Transports and processes prisoners to court and jail; provides crowd control at events.
