National Police is seeking a substitute police officer to assist the department in patrol and investigative tasks. Under supervision of a Police Sergeant, you will enforce state laws and local ordinances, maintain public safety, and respond to incidents as needed.

Under supervision of a Police Sergeant; a sworn law enforcement officer who performs a broad range of police activities. A person in this position is responsible to serve the public through the knowledgeable enforcement of state laws and local ordinances. A police officer has general responsibilities to maintain order, regulate traffic, protect life and property, prevents crime and disorder; and to perform related work as required. A substitute police officer will typically perform basic patrol and investigative tasks, but may be directed to complete special assignments or tasks. Substitute police officers will serve in an “as needed” compacity for the police department.
