Base pay range: $401.00/hr - $401.00/hr

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Police Officer performs duties involving law enforcement, crime prevention, traffic control, investigations, arrests, and support for crime prevention programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License by appointment.
• At least 20.5 years of age at application.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident who can read and write English.
• No tobacco use, as the City does not hire tobacco users.
• Pass background screening, polygraph, psychological, and medical examinations.

Additional Requirements

• Current certification from a state with reciprocity with WSCJTC.
• Pass WSCJTC's equivalency academy within six months of hire.
• Full-time commissioned law enforcement officer in good standing with at least 12 months of experience.
• No employment lapse exceeding 24 months since appointment.
