Qualifications

• POST certification or prior CA Peace Officer experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 60 college units or AA degree preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; valid CA driver license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• patrol designated areas and respond to calls; enforce laws and traffic regulations.
• Investigate crime against persons or property; make arrests when necessary.
• Write police reports, testify in court, and maintain daily logs and records.
• Engage with the community to build trust and ensure public safety.
• Complete Field Training Officer (FTO) program for patrol readiness.
