Job Details

This is a full-time position with the Police Department of the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C. Lateral hires signing a three-year service agreement will receive incentive payments: $60,000 for those with at least two years of Dignitary Protection experience, or $50,000 otherwise. The salary range is $83,362 to $142,513 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Protection of the Supreme Court Building, grounds, and persons/property therein
• Dignitary Protection for Supreme Court Justices
• Maintain order and decorum within the Court premises
• Provide courtroom security and residential security for protectees
• Prepare reports and testify in court as needed

Qualifications

• Current law enforcement officer with at least one year of full-duty service
• Completion (or willingness to complete) the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Police Training Program (UPTP)
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
• No felony convictions; ability to pass a medical, psychological, and physical abilities test
• U.S. citizenship or equivalent

Additional Requirements

• Age between 21 and 39, with some exceptions for prior service
• No visible tattoos or body markings above the collar line; natural hair colors; well-groomed appearance
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test
