Qualifikationen

• High school graduation or GED required or attainment of a 2-year/4-year college degree.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Aufgaben

• Patrol designated areas of the City by car, foot, or other means to preserve law and order and enforce laws.
• Respond to calls for service including accidents, disturbances, and other incidents.
• Conduct investigations; collect, preserve, and document evidence; interview victims and witnesses.
• Prepare and serve search/arrest warrants; apprehend offenders and coordinate with other agencies as needed.
• Direct traffic at fires, events, and emergencies; manage crowd control.
• Present information to the public and liaise with community groups.
• Coordinate with other law enforcement agencies for mutual aid and information sharing.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance law enforcement skills.
• Prepare reports and testify in court as required; attend mandatory examinations.
• Assist in receiving, booking, fingerprinting, and transporting prisoners.
• Provide presentations to public groups to promote crime prevention.
