An established industry player seeks dedicated individuals to join their law enforcement team as Police Officers. This role involves providing uniform patrol and police services to ensure the safety of the university community. The University of Northern Colorado is located in Greeley, Colorado, population over 100,000, an hour's drive north of Denver, and within driving distance of the Rocky Mountains. Lateral Hires – Applicants with qualified experience will be paid within the step system equivalent to their experience, up to $80,976 annually for 5+ years of experience. Qualified experience must come from a municipal, state, county, or university policing agency, where the applicant served as a patrol officer, investigator, or supervisor. In order to qualify as a lateral, applicants must be currently employed, or employed within the last 6 months at a law enforcement agency.
POST-certified applicants who do not meet the criteria for lateral pay, will begin at the base salary and progress through the step system.

Education and Experience:
Current, valid Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification
One year of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
Appeal Rights:
