Job summary

City of Lexington is seeking a Police Officer I to join its public safety team. You will perform responsible work to maintain order, respond to emergencies, protect people and property, and enforce motor vehicle and criminal laws on behalf of the City.

The starting annual salary is $45,365 with excellent benefits; the work schedule features rotating 12‑hour shifts. The City conducts pre‑employment screenings and promotes equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from high school and completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training or ability to complete Basic Law Enforcement Training within 6 months of hire.
• Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record.
• Minimum age of 20 years.

Work Schedule
