Job summary

The Lexington Police Department is seeking a Police Officer I to join our public safety team. The starting annual salary is $45,365, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement within the City of Lexington.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training (or the ability to complete within 6 months). Rotating 12-hour shifts apply, with pay bi-weekly and a commitment to community policing.

Qualifications

• Valid NC driver’s license with a good driving record.

A Police Officer I performs responsible work to provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations on behalf of and within the City of Lexington.

Minimum Qualifications

Work Schedule

Rotating 12 hour shifts (4 days on 4 days off). Paid bi-weekly.
