Job summary

The Rutland Police Department is hiring for both full-time and part-time police officers. Applicants must be at least 21, hold a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a Class A LTC. A high school diploma or GED is required; a four-year college degree is preferred.

Successful candidates will undergo a thorough background, medical, and psychological exam, plus a physical abilities test. Residency requirements apply per MGL c.41§99A; town is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license and Class A LTC required.
• HS diploma or GED required; four-year college degree preferred.
• MPTC full-time academy or waiver preferred.
