Pay Range: $29.23/hr - $36.45/hr (as of 01/22/2024)

Additional Bonuses: $15,000 hiring bonus for entry level; $20,000 for lateral officers.

Responsibilities

Maintain order, protect life and property, uphold laws of Maryland and ordinances of Bowie, perform duties under General Orders.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older upon graduation from the Academy
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Maryland Driver's license
• Pass physical agility test, written exam, background check, drug screening

Compensation

Starting at $29.23/hr ($60,802 annually); lateral officers may start up to $36.45/hr ($75,814 annually).
