City of Fort Collins seeks a Police Officer (Full-Time Regular) to enforce laws, prevent crime, and protect life and property. These sworn positions require integrity, physical fitness, and strong communication with the public and colleagues.

The role includes patrols, investigations, and diverse duties in a dynamic municipal police department. Background checks, DMV report, and drug testing are required, with a comprehensive benefits package provided by the City.

Formación

• Minimum of 60 semester or 90 quarter hours from an accredited college or university before hire.
• Transcripts are required for verification.
• A waiver may be granted for lateral officers and veterans.

Responsabilidades

• Affect an arrest with restraints as needed and transport detainees.
• Prepare investigative and other reports with accuracy.
• Exercise independent judgment on use of force.
• Safely operate a police vehicle in various conditions.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and police personnel.
• Gather information from victims, suspects, and witnesses.
