Candidates must be eligible for Minnesota Peace Officer Training Board (P.O.S.T.) licensure by appointment date, no later than July 1, 2027, with reciprocity options and required exams as specified. A bonus of $3,500 will be awarded after successful Field Training and one year of service.

Job description

The Police Officer begins their role in the Patrol Division by protecting and serving the community of Eden Prairie by providing quality services and law enforcement customized to meet the needs of the community.

Minnesota Peace Officer Training Board (P.O.S.T.) eligible by date of appointment, but no later than July 1, 2027, required. If you have received your education or passed the P.O.S.T. Board Exam in another state, you will need to complete the Minnesota P.O.S.T. Board requirements for Peace Officer Licensing and pass the MN P.O.S.T. Board Exam or Reciprocity Exam by July 1, 2027.

Candidates hired during this recruitment process, who successfully complete their Field Training Program and one year of employment with the City of Eden Prairie, will receive a hiring bonus of $3,500.
