Qualifications

• Be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident
• Age 20 years 6 months or older
• Vision 20/100, correctable to 20/30
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass police officer selection test
• Pass physical ability test
• Pass polygraph
• Pass medical exam including drug screen
• Proportionate height/weight by body fat
• Pass psychological exam
• High moral character

Responsibilities

• Undergo a background investigation including criminal, traffic and credit checks
• Commitment to safeguarding residents and visitors in DC
