Qualifications

• Certified law enforcement officer with at least 1 year of experience.
• Wisconsin Law Enforcement Reciprocity Examination within 1 year of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• U.S. citizen.
• Ability to speak and write English.
• 40 credits at time of application; 60 credits prior to completing 5th year with NCACS-accredited or equivalent accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the laws of Wisconsin and Beloit ordinances while protecting constitutional rights.
• Primarily focus on crime prevention and reducing disorder in Beloit neighborhoods.
• Provide day-to-day police service and engage with the community.
