Job summary

The Patrol Division balances calls for service with case follow-up, providing a well-rounded career path. Applicants must complete PST requirements, meet state standards, and obtain WA certification within 15 months.

Qualifications

• Pass the physical ability test administered by PST.
• Score 70% on the PST written exam.
• Initial screening based on written test results and PHS.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain WA certification within 15 months of appointment.
• Meet physical and medical standards and civil service requirements.
• Have a valid WA driver's license on hire; out-of-state hires must obtain WA license.
• Be at least 21 years old; US citizenship or lawful permanent resident.
• Pass background investigation including polygraph and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• As a Redmond Police Officer, work within a professional environment and receive training resources and equipment.
• Patrol with a balanced mix of calls for service and case follow-up to ensure public safety.
