Job summary

City of Kalispell is seeking a Police Officer to perform patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related law enforcement duties. The position offers a competitive hourly pay of $38.43 and a strong benefits package.

Testing and interviews are part of the process; minimum qualifications include 18+, U.S. citizen, high school diploma, and the possibility of a lateral transfer incentive pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid State driver's license by time of hire.
• U.S. citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read and write English.
• Good moral character and temperate habits.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and investigative duties including security patrols, traffic enforcement and emergencies.
• Prepare cases and testify in court; maintain reports.
• Undertake community-oriented police work and assist citizens.
• Coordinate activities with other officers and City departments.
