The Police Officer's duties include maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and property. Responsibilities encompass patrolling hospital grounds, enforcing regulations, investigating incidents, monitoring alarms, responding to emergencies, providing customer service, and serving as a first responder to violent acts. The role involves carrying a firearm and may include supervising shift operations, organizing work, and instructing staff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage evidence related to criminal investigations.
• Respond to acts of violence, potentially deploying deadly force as per policy.
• Support various investigations with system-wide implications.
• Carry, handle, and deploy a firearm properly.
• Issue PA state citations and perform law enforcement duties.
• Investigate incidents reported by staff, visitors, physicians, and patients.
• Perform as a Security Officer when needed.
• Escalate issues appropriately to management.
• Transport individuals under criminal arrest.
• Serve legal documents such as warrants, subpoenas, and Protection From Abuse orders.
• Support shift operations as a supervisor, organizing work and instructing staff.
• Provide support across multiple facilities, understanding site-specific policies and interacting effectively with diverse management and customer groups.
