Police Officers maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and properties. Responsibilities include patrolling, enforcing rules, investigating incidents, responding to emergencies, and providing customer service. Officers are armed and may serve as shift supervisors, organizing and instructing staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Handling evidence in criminal investigations.
• Responding to acts of violence, potentially deploying deadly force as per policy.
• Supporting investigations with system-wide implications.
• Carrying and deploying firearms appropriately.
• Issuing citations using law enforcement applications like the PA Justice Network.
• Investigating incidents reported by staff, visitors, physicians, and patients.
• Performing as a Security Officer when needed.
• Escalating issues to management.
• Transporting individuals in criminal custody.
• Serving legal documents such as warrants and subpoenas.
• Leading shift operations and providing staff instructions.
