Job summary

Boiling Springs is seeking Police Officers to perform general law enforcement duties to protect life and property, serving residents and visitors as part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities include patrolling the town, community policing, traffic control, investigations, and testifying in court. A NC Basic Law Enforcement Certificate and a valid NC Driver's License are required; hiring is contingent upon background checks and medical/psych evaluations.

Our Police Officers perform responsible general law enforcement work to protect life and property in the Town. They work as part of a dynamic and ambitious team of Town employees to maintain the quality of life in Boiling Springs. With the support of the Town’s leadership, employees are empowered to provide essential and important public services for our residents and visitors.

Performs a full range of law enforcement duties in the areas of community policing, traffic, investigation, and patrol duties.

Work includes patrolling the Town and also concentrating time in assigned community policing areas during a shift in a police car or on foot; preventing, detecting, and investigating disturbances and crime; investigating traffic accidents, helping victims, and performing traffic control work; apprehending suspects; testifying in court; and executing related assignments.

NC Basic Law Enforcement Certificate and valid NC Driver's License required.

Hiring contingent upon successful background check, medical and psychological evaluations, and pre-employment drug screen.
