Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (college degree or college course work in criminal justice preferred).
• Valid driver’s license by date of application.
• A good driving record, pass a comprehensive written exam, physical agility test, oral board interview, polygraph exam, psychological evaluation, undergo an extensive background investigation with ability to render credible testimony in a court of law, pass a medical exam and drug screen, successfully complete a state certified police academy for a Class “A”, P.O.S.T. certification with a minimum 600 hours, (must be at least 21 years of age prior to completion of the academy), successfully complete a Field Training Officer program, and serve a 12 month probationary period after commissioning.
• Bilingual Skills Preferred.
