Police Officer
We’re looking for qualified Police Officers to join our Texas Health family.
Work Location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work Hours: Full-Time: 40 Hours/week; Rotating Shifts
What You Will Do:
- Perform officer duties including, but not limited to:
- Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas after hours.
- Lock and open doors according to schedules.
- Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
- Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
- Enforce campus parking policies and cite violations.
- Maintain compliance with security policies.
- Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.
- Complete incident/offense report forms and compose narratives.
- Give directions within the facility.
- Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
- Provide vehicle assistance.
- Patrol interior and perimeter of campus and parking areas.
- Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities in reports.
- Report and escalate situations to the Threat Management team as appropriate.
- Provide quality customer service to Texas Health employees, visitors, and guests.
- Greet people courteously and respectfully, following the 10/5 rule.
- Assist with directions and general information about Texas Health campuses.
- Transport and escort individuals to and from campus parking lots.
- Respond promptly to calls for service and emergency situations.
- Assess situations and utilize appropriate de-escalation measures.
- Use critical thinking skills to determine the appropriate level of force.
- Respond to and activate emergency response codes as needed.
- Coordinate with Police, Fire, EMS, and other emergency personnel as required.
