Police Officer

We’re looking for qualified Police Officers to join our Texas Health family.

Work Location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work Hours: Full-Time: 40 Hours/week; Rotating Shifts

What You Will Do:

1. Perform officer duties including, but not limited to:
2. Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas after hours.
3. Lock and open doors according to schedules.
4. Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
5. Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
6. Enforce campus parking policies and cite violations.
7. Maintain compliance with security policies.
8. Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.
9. Complete incident/offense report forms and compose narratives.
10. Give directions within the facility.
11. Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
12. Provide vehicle assistance.
13. Patrol interior and perimeter of campus and parking areas.
14. Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities in reports.
15. Report and escalate situations to the Threat Management team as appropriate.
16. Provide quality customer service to Texas Health employees, visitors, and guests.
17. Greet people courteously and respectfully, following the 10/5 rule.
18. Assist with directions and general information about Texas Health campuses.
19. Transport and escort individuals to and from campus parking lots.
20. Respond promptly to calls for service and emergency situations.
21. Assess situations and utilize appropriate de-escalation measures.
22. Use critical thinking skills to determine the appropriate level of force.
23. Respond to and activate emergency response codes as needed.
24. Coordinate with Police, Fire, EMS, and other emergency personnel as required.
