Job description

The City of Champlin is currently accepting applications for immediate openings for the position of police officer. Our department has an authorized strength of 30 sworn officers. In addition to being a Patrol Officer, our officers have the opportunity to hold various positions within the department, including:

1. Investigator
2. School Resource Officer
3. Drug Task Force Detective
4. Mobile Field Force member
5. Weapons of Mass Destruction member
6. Traffic Unit
7. Drone Operators
8. Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructors

Salary: $77,438.40 - $105,227.20 annually based on the 2025 LELS contract, not including longevity. Long longevity is an additional 9% over 16 years of service.
