Job summary

The Ceres Police Department is hiring Police Officers to patrol the City by car or on foot, conduct investigations, and participate in special assignments such as K9 Training, SWAT, and School Resource Officer programs. The role includes traffic control, issuing citations, and making arrests while performing administrative tasks as needed.

Applicants must be enrolled in or attending a POST certified basic academy or hold a valid POST certificate, and some experience as a California peace officer

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled or attending POST certified basic law enforcement academy or possess a valid POST basic academy certificate.
• Experience as a California peace officer or related police work is a plus.
