Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Bilingual skills are preferred; reading, writing and speaking English required.
• Ability to learn police procedures and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance is required to perform duties.
• Attend a NM Regional Satellite Academy designated by the City of Hobbs.
• May perform non-sworn work across department areas as assigned.
• Learn patrols, investigations, interviews and incident responses.
• Learn traffic enforcement and accident investigation procedures.
• Learn to obtain and process evidence and prepare reports.
• Failure to complete training may result in termination.
