Compensation: $20 per hour, with the opportunity to receive tuition reimbursement up to $3,500 per year towards an Associate Degree. Police Academy sponsorship based on merit.

Job Description

This job is intended to identify internal candidates for promotion to the rank of Police Officer. Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting citizens at the Command Desk by answering phones and taking reports both in person and over the phone.
2. Prisoner care and processing.
3. Maintaining department equipment.
4. Ensuring the cleanliness and operational capabilities of the police facility and grounds.
5. Lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
6. Participating in self-defense training.
7. Willingness to perform all other tasks as assigned.
