Farmington Police Department - Police Cadet (ICPOET)

Farmington is now hiring for a Police Cadet (ICPOET) position.

This is an entry-level, full-time, non-sworn role within the Police Department. The primary responsibility is to attend an assigned Professional Peace Officer Education (PPOE) program to obtain licensure as a Peace Officer in Minnesota. In addition to educational activities, the employee may participate in training opportunities at the police department and perform non-sworn police-related tasks as time permits.

The work is conducted under the supervision of an assigned supervisor. This position is temporary and aims to facilitate the completion of the PPOE program. Upon successful completion, the role is intended to lead to POST licensing and a transfer to a sworn police officer position.
