Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Actively working towards a Bachelor's Degree (minimum 6 credit hours per semester)
• Maintain an overall average of "C" (2.0) or better per grading period
• No felony convictions
• Minimal driving record
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug screen
• Pass a medical screen

Responsibilities

• Dispatch administrative duties
• Assisting citizens at the front desk
• Providing walk-in preliminary breath tests
• Conducting ink fingerprints cards for the public
• Assisting with various booking procedures and prisoner checks
• Assisting at events for crowd and traffic control
• Maintenance of police department equipment
• Vacation house checks in conjunction with a sworn officer
• Vehicle jumpstarts and unlocks in conjunction with a sworn officer
• Helping in reality-based training (RBT) scenarios as an active role player
• Ride-along with sworn officers
