The Auburn Hills Police Department is recruiting a part-time, non-sworn Police Cadet to support the Support Services Division. Cadets gain exposure to police work through Community Policing and Problem Oriented Policing while assisting at the front desk to maintain 24/7 service.
Preferred candidates are high school graduates or GED holders enrolled in criminal justice studies, with a valid driver’s license and solid computer skills.

This is a part-time, non-sworn, uniform position in the Support Services Division. The Cadet Program is designed to expose Criminal Justice college students to police work. This is accomplished by training and equipping the cadets in Community Policing, Problem Oriented Policing, and exposing them to opportunities within the Department. The program places cadets within the department where there is currently a need for their services, along with maintaining 24/7 service at the front desk.
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.
