Job Title: Utility Pole Maintenance Worker

Additional Locations: OH Statewide

Position Overview
  • Follow a safety-focused culture and uphold quality workmanship
  • Operate equipment to excavate ground around utility poles
  • Apply wood preservatives to ground line areas of poles
  • Assist in installing steel trusses to restore wood poles
  • Operate company vehicle (if qualified)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Crew Leader
  • Work schedule typically 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per day; may include standby or on-call duties
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a strong safety record
Job Duties
  • Travel approximately 75% of the time; per diem and lodging provided
  • Maintain high integrity, honesty, and professionalism
  • Work independently, in small groups, or as part of a team
  • Stand or sit for extended periods; bend, reach, and lift items up to 65 lbs
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including day/night shifts and holidays
  • Navigate terrains such as rocky, steep, uneven ground, wetlands, and flat areas
  • Experience in electric utility and telecommunications fields
Additional Information

The ideal candidate is comfortable traveling within the service territory and working full-time (40-45 hours/week). Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance after 30 days, phone reimbursement, company vehicle, vacation pay, stock options, and 401(k) after one year.
