Sigma Technologies is seeking a Utility Field Technician to collect data on overhead power-distribution infrastructure across Southern Ohio and Eastern Kentucky. This field-based role requires outdoor work, travel, and independent task management, with a focus on accurate documentation of poles, lines, and equipment.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and comfortable using mobile devices and GIS tools to capture field data and photographs, while adhering to safety and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with field data collection and utilities is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily assignments with limited supervision.
• Comfort with using maps, mobile devices, and GIS-based tools for field work.

Responsabilités

• Conduct field surveys of overhead power-distribution facilities.
• Locate, inspect, photograph, measure, and document poles, lines, and related infrastructure.
• Record conditions, attachments, clearances, and surrounding field conditions.
• Plan daily routes and manage work across the Southern Ohio/Eastern Kentucky region.
• Communicate field conditions and data with project teams; follow safety requirements.
