Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures is seeking a Pole Builder for our Bay Minette, AL plant. We are an industry leader in manufacturing concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications, and we are a proud subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc.

As a Pole Builder, you will provide skilled assistance in your area, train for additional skills, and perform general manual labor such as loading, unloading, and lifting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing work environment.
• The ability to maintain good attendance.
• Prior experience with concrete is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled assistance in assigned area.
• Train for additional skills.
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving material.
• May assist skilled workers involved in fabricating, welding, assembling, installing, and processing by a variety of functions such as sorting and counting, feeding, and unloading parts, sweeping, cleaning, rough painting, and other manual labor tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Be professional with all personnel and communicate effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
