Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a field engineer to develop and lead a Make Ready team, coordinating with engineering and project staff on-site and at client locations throughout projects. The role requires field visits, structural analysis, and collaboration with utility standards to ensure safe, compliant make-ready solutions.

Travel will be required for weeks at a time to sites for execution, training, and quality assurance, with a focus on accurate pole data collection, cost analysis, and timely

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering or field engineering.
• Engineering administrative or field engineering experience is required.
• Experience using Katapult, ikeGPS, O-Calc, SPIDAcalc or similar programs is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and train a Make Ready team.
• Ensure project team has knowledge and tools to complete tasks.
• Manage resources to deliver projects on time and under budget.
• Execute and/or lead project execution.
• Attend client, staff, and project meetings.
• Travel to job sites for weeks at a time for execution or training.
• Coordinate pole attachments with NESC standards and owner regulations.
• Review poles and field notes to determine the best make-ready solution.
• Read construction prints and create 3D pole models in O-Calc and SPIDAcalc.
