Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Utility Pole Assessment Foreman to lead daily field operations, supervise a pole assessment crew, and ensure projects are completed safely and to company standards.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to train and mentor staff while maintaining productivity and quality on utility projects in varying weather and travel conditions.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Previous leadership, crew lead, or foreman experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of three years of driving experience.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to motivate, train, and work effectively with field crews.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including regularly lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily field operations and crew activities.
  • Perform utility pole assessments following safety procedures.
  • Coordinate daily work assignments for efficiency.
  • Train and mentor crew members in safe practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.
  • Complete documentation and project updates accurately.
  • Monitor quality, productivity, and safety performance.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders.
  • Support a positive, safety‑focused team environment.
