Job Description
The Encore Boston Harbor Poker Floor Person is responsible for providing front-line guest service in the poker area. This includes serving as a host and cashier for poker guests, assisting guests with various needs, and supporting efforts to promote poker play. The key responsibility is to provide outstanding guest service and contribute to a positive guest experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Age, Gaming, and Certifications: 21+ years old. Must obtain and maintain a Massachusetts Gaming Commission license.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or casino experience preferred. Minimum 2 years experience in a Poker room as a dealer or dual rate. Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office, are a plus. Willing to work beyond typical hours, meet deadlines, and work independently with a positive attitude. Open to learning new processes.
Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and respond to policies and inquiries. Conversational English required. Ability to write instructions and present information effectively.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning: Ability to perform basic calculations and analyze reports.
Physical Demands: Must talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands frequently. Capable of lifting/maneuvering at least 50 pounds. Visual acuity required for close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and focus adjustment.
