Essential JOB Functions and Responsibilities:
Monitors controls designed to assure full compliance with state, federal, and tribal regulatory requirements.
Maintain continuous inspection of cards and Gaming equipment while ensuring the security of the assigned Poker Games.
Assist in monitoring the payouts and procedures on the table games to ensure the integrity of the games while on duty.
Ensure that organizational and regulatory policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.
Serve as a witness for Table Games Management and Downstream Casino Resort in monetary corrections and disputes between dealers and patrons, helping to uphold the integrity of the games while also providing an additional layer of customer service.
Ensure accuracy for assigned tables in monetary transactions and accounting.
Responsible for the accountability of chips and player ratings for each designated section by maintaining proper records.
Make table fills/credits as needed.
Verify cash and chip transactions between dealers and patrons.
Observe and report all unusual activity between dealers and patrons and relay all such information directly to the Poker Management staff promptly.
Communicate all suspicious play of patrons who are participating in defrauding DCR promptly.
Assist Poker Management in identifying patrons who are causing a disturbance in the operation of assigned games.
Utilize effective communication tools to ensure that consistent, accurate, and timely information is passed along to incoming and outgoing team members.
Ensure that the Poker Department presents a professional and clean environment for both employees and guests.
Maintain a current understanding of all casino amenities, events, promotions, and activities.
Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Maintain a professional work environment with all team members.
Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Attend all necessary training meetings as warranted.
Assist in other projects, as directed.
Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a daily/weekly schedule.
Always act as a role model and present oneself as a credit to Downstream Casino Resort and the Poker Department.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 18 years old or older upon employment.
A successful candidate must be an experienced, results-oriented, and hands-on professional.
Must demonstrate integrity, fairness, and sensibility to the customers and employees.
Must possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and provide a positive example to their peers.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Ability to communicate all irregularities to their direct Manager on a consistent basis as it pertains to their Gaming section.
Must be able to deal all games offered by Downstream Casino Resort effectively and interact well with all customers and employees.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
