About the role
Under the supervision of the Poker supervisors and Poker Manager, the Poker Dealer interacts directly with poker guests providing information, starting, and maintaining games. The Dealer will deal all games as assigned.
What you'll do
· Deal all Poker games as assigned by the Shift Manager.
· Conduct poker games in a fair, upbeat manner ensuring game security.
· Provide information and answer questions for our guests about games in progress, games offered, tournaments, and promotions.
· Greet guests and assist the Poker Supervisor or Shift manager with seating guests.
· Participate as a count team member, if needed.
· Participate in the table drop, if needed.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
· Adhere to New Hampshire cardroom regulations, as well as internal controls, and departmental policies and procedures.
· Keep the casino clean and free of tripping/falling hazards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
· 21 years of age.
· Must have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate well with guests.
· Must have a working knowledge of poker and be able to pass an audition.
· Strong math skills, cash handling and chip handling experience are preferred.
· Willing to participate in training as recommended or required.
· Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
· Be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire Lottery license and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
· You must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
· Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted.
· Frequent reaching and leaning.
· Physically access the entire casino with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
· Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
· Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
