UnityPoint Health’s Poison Control Center seeks a Pharmacist to provide expert telephone toxicology information, case management, and patient follow-up. The role supports healthcare providers and the public from an IPCC setting in Iowa.

Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, and education of students and residents. CSPI certification is a pathway, with growth opportunities into advanced toxicology leadership.

Qualifications

• D Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school.
• Experience in hospital settings preferred; critical care or ER experience welcomed.
• Current Iowa pharmacist licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical information and case management advice for poison control calls.
• Document all calls in IPCC computerized medical record system; ensure NPDS coding compliance.
• Deliver high quality toxicology care and triage for calls and follow-up as needed.
• Educate and precept students and residents; participate in outreach education.
