Job summary

UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville seeks a detail-oriented POC QA Support Technician to perform basic quality control for waived testing and to help resolve result issues in RALS and PWeb.

You will contribute to training module development in Healthstream CHRIS, maintain competency databases, manage reagent stock, run monthly QA reports, and support clerical tasks across the POC department in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Previous clinical laboratory experience required.
• Experience with database programs desirable.
• Training experience desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs highly recommended.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Supports quality management of the POC program by performing basic quality control for waived testing, compiling and analyzing quality assurance data and preparing reports.
• Assists in conducting periodic audits of POC testing at various clinical locations and in the resolution of Patient Safety Reports.
