Responsibilities

• Evaluate foot and ankle conditions.
• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage podiatric conditions within scope of practice.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies, X-rays, MRI, CT, vascular studies, and other diagnostics.
• Provide diabetic foot evaluation and wound care.
• Coordinate post-operative follow-up with the operating podiatrist/surgical team.
• Educate Veterans and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up.
• Maintain clinical documentation and participate in clinic management, access, productivity, quality and safety initiatives.
