Job summary

Upperline Health Florida is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator to support physicians in Myrtle Beach clinics, performing clinical and administrative tasks. Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic exposure and x-ray experience, plus Athena EMR proficiency.

You will handle rooming, exam intake, charting, x-ray support, and daily clinic operations; a patient-centric, professional approach is essential, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• EMR experience – Athena EMR preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective communicator with strong grammar and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, professional demeanor and customer service oriented.
• Stable work history with reliable transportation and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms, ready for physician.
• Complete exam intake, reviewing medical history and related details.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Provide patient care including taking and developing x-rays and assisting in the exam room.
• Perform daily administrative tasks such as stocking exam rooms and waste disposal.
• Sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after each patient and daily.
• Satisfy and document required MIPS quality measures.
