Job summary

Bay Area Foot Care is seeking a diligent Medical Assistant to support physicians and the team in our Bay Area clinics. You will handle clinical and administrative duties, help maintain patient flow, and ensure accurate charting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CPR certification, EMR experience (Athena preferred), strong communication, and attention to detail. This is a full-time, onsite role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR certification required.
• Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent.
• Experience with EMR systems; Athena experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy; good clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients on the phone and in person
• Place patients in exam rooms
• Take vital signs of patients
• Assist and set up for examination, treatment, and procedures
• Keep accurate patient files
• Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatrist
• Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment
• Maintain HIPAA compliance
