Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice in Cincinnati. You will work hands-on with patients, support physicians, and thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Training is provided, and this role offers growth opportunities for someone with MA experience or a desire to grow clinical skills in a supportive team environment. Local office coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Travel between local office locations as needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services.
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and prescriptions as directed.
• Make post-operative calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
